On the way home from the driver license center, I met an old woman. As she said her granddaughter is going to be a high school student, she may be around 60 years old. She was with her friend of similar age, who was apparently suffering from a hay fever. I went into a waiting room in a station following them.

That was my first time to use that line. So, I did not know how I get on the train and pay the fare. The woman not having a hay fever taught me how to pay. She was very kind. People living around the station might be as kind as her, I thought.

When I was checking the departure time of the next train, she suddenly gave me some money. She said, "drink a coffee or something with this." I was surprised. When I was a child, there used to be some adults who gave me some money. However, I am now over 30, and even earn money. I hesitated. But I did not want to make her embarrassed or sad. So, I bought a coffee and drank it. Even though it was snowing outside, we shared a warm chatting time.

When we got on the train, she taught me to take the ticket with which I would pay fare later. There were only a few people on the train. And, to my surprise, some of them were the friends of her. What a small world. The train seemed to be a part of their community. I sat on a seat near them. The view from the old train was beautiful.

Wow! That was a very nice experience (^_^)/
Talking with a stranger is not so often in Japan.
But if I'm with my dog, Yottyan, many people talk to me. Maybe, Yottyan gives us the opportunities to talk. Seizing such opportunities could be not so difficult if we want, and we japanese also could be friends with every stranger (^_^)v

I agree. Pets and children sometimes work as a bridge connecting strangers. Yes, it is not so difficult if we want. Today, I came back from Hamasaka, a town that is known for its spa. Because I had much time before taking a train. I was putting my feet in a hot spa (ashiyu) in front of the station. I met several people and exchanged a few words. The contents of the conversation was not so deep, but it was very comfortable. Yes, we can be friends with every stranger. YES WE CAN!

Yes, I have met him once.
I think he is so clever that he still remember me.
We may be able to meet again some time in the future.
So, let's check if he remember me or not, then.
